IMPORTANT: By using Resume Connect, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you must immediately discontinue use of our services.
1. LEGALLY BINDING AGREEMENT
1.1 These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding contract between you ("you," "your," or "User") and Service Directories, Inc., the sole operator of resume-connect.com ("Service Directories, Inc.," "we," "us," or "our"), encompassing resume-connect.com, its applications, content, databases, and technology (collectively, the "Services").
1.2 By accessing, browsing, or using the Services in any manner, you confirm that:
1.2.1 You are at least eighteen (18) years of age and possess full legal capacity to enter into this agreement;
1.2.2 You are a legal resident of the United States and physically located within the United States at the time of use;
1.2.3 You have read, understood, and irrevocably agree to be bound by these Terms and all future updates;
1.2.4 You assume full legal, financial, and operational responsibility for your use of the Services.
1.3 If you do not meet these requirements or disagree with any provision, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services. Any use, including incidental access, constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
2. SERVICE DESCRIPTION & LIMITATIONS
2.1 Service Description:
Resume Connect provides tools for job seekers to obtain contact information of human resource professionals for employment-related communications tied to specific job postings (posted within the last 7 days) on public job boards. The Services are strictly limited to lawful, employment-related purposes.
2.2 Exclusive Data Source: Hunter.io
All contact information provided through the Services is sourced exclusively from Hunter.io, an independent third-party provider. Service Directories, Inc. does not verify, authenticate, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or legality of Hunter.io's data. You acknowledge and accept all risks associated with using this data, including errors, inaccuracies, or omissions. Service Directories, Inc. is not liable for any issues arising from Hunter.io's data.
2.3 Usage Restrictions
You agree to:
2.3.1 Search only the domain of a company that posted a specific job on a public job board within the last 7 days and send only one (1) email to a single human resources contact per company/domain, solely for that specific job opportunity.
2.3.2 Not contact multiple staff members at the same company/domain or contact any staff for job postings older than 7 days.
2.3.3 Not use the Services for spam, marketing, unsolicited outreach, or any purpose beyond the stated employment-related communication.
2.3.4 Not share, sell, copy, reproduce, download, scrape, store, or transmit any data obtained through the Services outside the permitted use.
2.3.5 Not use automation, bots, scraping tools, or other technologies to access, extract, or manipulate data from the Services.
2.3.6 Not impersonate any person, misrepresent your affiliation, or engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity.
2.3.7 Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, including but not limited to the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 7701–7713) and New York General Business Law § 399-p.
2.4 Violations
Violations, including but not limited to contacting multiple staff members, contacting staff for outdated job postings, or unauthorized data use, will result in immediate account termination without notice or refund, forfeiture of all fees, and potential legal action, including claims for damages and injunctive relief.
2.5 Mandatory User Information
For each job position pursued through the Services, you must provide accurate, complete, and truthful information, including:
2.5.1 Title of the posted position;
2.5.2 Name of the company posting the job;
2.5.3 Source of the job posting (e.g., specific job board or website);
2.5.4 Company domain associated with the job posting.
Providing false, misleading, or incomplete information constitutes a material breach of these Terms, resulting in immediate account termination without notice or refund. Service Directories, Inc. reserves the right to verify this information using any lawful means and may suspend or terminate access if inaccuracies are detected.
2.6 Strict Prohibition on Negative Feedback
You agree not to post, publish, distribute, or communicate any negative feedback, reviews, comments, or statements about the Services, resume-connect.com, Service Directories, Inc., or its affiliates, in any medium, including but not limited to social media, review platforms, forums, or private communications. Such actions constitute a material breach of these Terms, resulting in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all fees, and potential legal action, including claims for defamation, tortious interference, or breach of contract.
2.7 Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
You agree to maintain strict confidentiality of all proprietary or confidential information disclosed by Service Directories, Inc. through the Services, including but not limited to trade secrets, business processes, technical data, or system architecture. You shall not disclose, use, reproduce, or exploit such information for any purpose other than as expressly permitted. Violations constitute a material breach, resulting in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all fees, and legal action to protect Service Directories, Inc.'s proprietary interests, including injunctive relief and damages.
2.8 User Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content you submit, transmit, or store through the Services, including emails, resumes, or other materials. You agree not to submit or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, infringing, or violates third-party rights or applicable laws. Service Directories, Inc. may remove or restrict access to any content deemed inappropriate or in violation of these Terms without notice or liability.
3. ANTI-SPAM POLICY
3.1 You agree to comply with our stringent anti-spam policy:
3.1.1 Emails sent using data from the Services must include a valid, functioning unsubscribe mechanism compliant with the CAN-SPAM Act;
3.1.2 You shall not send bulk emails, chain letters, or other unsolicited communications;
3.1.3 You shall not use the Services to harvest email addresses or contact information for any purpose other than a single, direct job application for a specific, recent (within 7 days) job posting;
3.1.4 You are solely responsible for any complaints, penalties, or legal actions arising from your communications.
3.2 Service Directories, Inc. reserves the right to monitor usage, report violations to authorities, and cooperate fully with law enforcement. Violations result in immediate account termination, forfeiture of all fees, and potential legal action.
4. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS
4.1 Service Directories, Inc. makes no representations or warranties that:
4.1.1 You will secure interviews, job offers, or employment through the Services;
4.1.2 Contacts provided by Hunter.io will be accurate, responsive, or effective;
4.1.3 The Services will enhance your employment prospects.
4.2 Your outcomes depend solely on external factors, including your qualifications, resume, communication skills, and employer decisions. Service Directories, Inc. bears no responsibility for your results.
5. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
5.1 The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to:
5.1.1 Merchantability;
5.1.2 Fitness for a particular purpose;
5.1.3 Accuracy, reliability, or timeliness of Hunter.io's data;
5.1.4 Non-infringement;
5.1.5 Uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation.
5.2 Service Directories, Inc. does not warrant that the Services are secure, free of viruses, or protected from unauthorized access. You assume all risks associated with using the Services.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
6.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Service Directories, Inc., including its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and affiliates, shall not be held liable to you or any third party for any type of damages, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, exemplary, or special. This includes but is not limited to damages for loss of business, revenue, opportunity, goodwill, data, or employment.
6.2 Service Directories, Inc. shall not be responsible for inaccuracies in third-party data, decisions made by hiring entities, or the consequences of any communication sent using the Services.
6.3 Under no circumstances shall the cumulative liability of Service Directories, Inc. exceed one dollar ($1.00 USD), regardless of the number or nature of claims asserted.
7. DATA PROTECTION & SECURITY
7.1 Service Directories, Inc. employs commercially reasonable measures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of its systems. However, no system is completely secure, and you acknowledge that you use the Services at your own risk.
7.2 We cannot and do not guarantee the absolute security of your data or content.
7.3 We are not responsible for any data loss, unauthorized access, hacking, breaches, viruses, malware, or service interruptions.
7.4 You expressly waive all claims arising from such events and agree to hold Service Directories, Inc. harmless from any resulting loss or damage.
7.5 You are solely responsible for backing up any data you store or transmit through the Services and for safeguarding your own devices, systems, and account credentials.
8. INDEMNIFICATION
8.1 You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Service Directories, Inc., Hunter.io, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, contractors, and data partners from any and all claims, actions, lawsuits, liabilities, damages, costs, debts, or legal fees (including attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to:
8.1.1 Your violation of these Terms, including but not limited to usage restrictions, anti-spam policy, single-contact rule, 7-day job posting restriction, negative feedback prohibition, or confidentiality obligations;
8.1.2 Your misuse of the Services, including unauthorized or unlawful communications;
8.1.3 Any third-party claims related to your use of Hunter.io's data, including privacy violations or data inaccuracies;
8.1.4 Your infringement of intellectual property, privacy, or other third-party rights;
8.1.5 Any content you submit, transmit, or store through the Services.
8.2 This indemnification obligation extends to all costs, including legal fees, and survives termination of these Terms or your use of the Services.
9. TERMINATION
9.1 Service Directories, Inc. may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the Services at its sole discretion, without notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:
9.1.1 Violation of these Terms, including usage restrictions, anti-spam policy, single-contact rule, 7-day job posting restriction, negative feedback prohibition, confidentiality obligations, or mandatory user information requirements;
9.1.2 Suspected fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful activity, including providing false information;
9.1.3 Protection of Service Directories, Inc.'s assets, users, or Services.
9.2 Termination includes account deletion, data removal, forfeiture of all fees without refund, and potential legal action to enforce these Terms.
10. PAYMENT & BILLING
10.1 All payments for the Services are non-refundable under all circumstances.
10.2 By purchasing any Services, you authorize Service Directories, Inc. to charge the payment method on file according to the stated billing terms.
10.3 Subscription-based Services will automatically renew unless canceled at least seventy-two (72) hours prior to the renewal date.
10.4 Service Directories, Inc. may modify pricing, features, or billing terms at its sole discretion without prior notice.
10.5 Failure to pay fees results in immediate termination of access.
11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
11.1 All content, software, databases, designs, logos, and materials in the Services are the exclusive property of Service Directories, Inc. or its licensors, protected by U.S. and New York intellectual property laws.
11.2 You agree not to:
11.2.1 Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services;
11.2.2 Use our trademarks, logos, or branding, including the resume-connect.com name, without prior written consent;
11.2.3 Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code or underlying technology of the Services;
11.2.4 Scrape, harvest, or extract data beyond the permitted use.
11.3 Unauthorized use constitutes a material breach, resulting in immediate termination, forfeiture of fees, and legal action, including claims for damages and injunctive relief.
12. USER AGE & LEGAL CAPACITY
12.1 You must be at least eighteen (18) years old and have full legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
12.2 Use of the Services by individuals under 18 or lacking legal capacity is strictly prohibited and constitutes a material breach.
13. NO THIRD-PARTY BENEFICIARIES
13.1 These Terms are solely between you and Service Directories, Inc.
13.2 No third party, except Hunter.io as specified in Section 8, has any rights or remedies under these Terms.
14. FORCE MAJEURE
14.1 Service Directories, Inc. is not liable for delays or failures in performance due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:
14.1.1 Acts of God, natural disasters, or pandemics;
14.1.2 Internet, infrastructure, or third-party service failures;
14.1.3 Cyberattacks or security breaches;
14.1.4 Changes in applicable laws or regulations.
15. USER COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS
15.1 You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:
15.1.1 Federal Laws: CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 7701–7713);
15.1.2 New York Laws: General Business Law § 399-p (unsolicited communications) and § 396 (consumer protection);
15.1.3 Privacy Laws: All applicable data protection and privacy regulations.
15.2 You must independently verify the legitimacy of job opportunities and ensure all communications are lawful and professional. Service Directories, Inc. bears no responsibility for your compliance.
16. ASSIGNMENT
16.1 You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms under any circumstances.
16.2 Service Directories, Inc. may assign or delegate its rights and obligations at its sole discretion without notice.
17. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
17.1 Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Services shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration in Nassau County, New York, under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association.
17.2 You agree to:
17.2.1 Waive your right to a jury trial;
17.2.2 Waive your right to participate in class actions, class arbitrations, or consolidated claims;
17.2.3 Accept arbitration as the sole remedy for disputes.
17.3 The arbitrator's decision is final and binding. Costs of arbitration shall be borne as determined by the arbitrator.
17.4 Claims not subject to arbitration (e.g., intellectual property disputes) must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts of Nassau County, New York.
18. GOVERNING LAW
18.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
18.2 Any legal action must be brought exclusively in Nassau County, New York.
19. MODIFICATIONS
19.1 Service Directories, Inc. may modify these Terms at any time without notice.
19.2 Updated Terms are effective immediately upon posting on resume-connect.com.
19.3 Continued use constitutes acceptance of all changes. If you do not agree, you must cease using the Services immediately.
20. SEVERABILITY
20.1 If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
21. SURVIVAL
21.1 The following provisions survive termination of these Terms or your use of the Services: Sections 2.6 (Prohibition on Negative Feedback), 2.7 (Confidentiality), 6 (Limitation of Liability), 8 (Indemnification), 11 (Intellectual Property), 17 (Dispute Resolution), 18 (Governing Law), and any provisions intended by their nature to survive.
22. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
22.1 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Service Directories, Inc. regarding the Services, superseding all prior agreements, communications, or understandings.

24. U.S. RESIDENCY AND LOCATION REQUIREMENT
24.1 You may only access and use the Services if you are a legal resident of the United States and are physically located within the U.S. at the time of use.
24.2 Accessing the Services from abroad is prohibited. Violations result in termination and potential legal exposure.
25. USE OF LEGAL EMAIL TEMPLATES (STRICT COMPLIANCE REQUIRED)
25.1 The Services include pre-approved legal email templates partially pre-filled with HR contact data.
25.2 You may only input content into marked placeholders (e.g., [Your Name], [Resume Link], [Job Title]).
25.3 You are strictly prohibited from editing any non-placeholder content, removing legal disclaimers or unsubscribe text, or adding promotional or unrelated content.
25.4 Unauthorized modification constitutes a material breach of these Terms and will result in termination, forfeiture of fees, and full legal responsibility for any violations.
25.5 You assume all risk and waive all claims arising from deviation from the provided templates.
26. FINAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
26.1 By accessing or using Resume Connect, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service in full.
26.2 You acknowledge that these Terms are legally binding and that continued use of the Services signifies your acceptance and compliance.
